Nick Van Woert is an artist that I noticed in the magazine ArtBox. His most noted work combines classical busts with a more modern twist, experimenting with various messy materials to deface and coat the faces. His use of materials means that no outcome is ever the same as the substances are so unpredictable, using materials such as expanding foam and melted plastics. The colours and the finished effects he uses are exciting and his work feels like an explosion of different textures and materials.
